Don’t you wish you could understand just how Google works? The truth is that only Google knows how Google works. If you care to indulge in a little light reading, there is a Google Webmaster Guidelines document written for those who wish to brush up on their web knowledge. https://tinyurl.com/cm6wbjwz
Google keeps us all on our toes by regularly changing the algorithms. It’s a way of maintaining an even playing field. We can’t all be on the first page of search results. People and businesses pay money to be number one. This is called “Paid” traffic. These are the web pages you will see in the first five or so search results. They are identified by the tag “Ad” in bold before the URL.
There are countless articles available on how to search Google to find what you are looking for in the most efficient way. The truth is that no two people will ever get the same search results. Google will consider your location, your browsing history and your social media settings, before delivering what the algorithm considers will be best for you.
The good news is, you don’t have to pay Google to have the chance to appear on the first two pages of a Google search. By writing quality content and maximising your keywords, you can begin to take advantage of the “organic” traffic that comes your way.
A copywriter with knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) will be able to work with you to get the results you desire. Its important to note, however, that you will not achieve overnight success and it will take time and effort to create the content that Google will rank and then match to the infinite search combinations. If Google can’t find your site then you won’t turn up in search results, it’s as simple as that!
